Dominic O’Connell is one of the UK’s leading business broadcasters and commentators. As a business presenter on Times Radio and Saturday business columnist for The Times newspaper, Dominic is a leading voice and expert across the London financial landscape. For five years Dominic was a business presenter on the BBC’s flagship Today programme and appeared regularly on BBC television as a reporter and commentator. He joined the BBC from The Sunday Times where he was business editor for six years. He has won several national journalism awards, including the Wincott Award in 2017, the premier award for business writers and broadcasters.
Alessandro is a Portfolio Manager within the Value team at Ninety One. Since April 2020 he assumed co-portfolio management of the UK Value strategies in addition to the Global Value Equity strategies that he has been managing since 2016. In 2011, Alessandro joined the firm as an analyst in the Value team. Previously he worked at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co as a fixed income derivatives salesperson in London. He graduated from UCL in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Economics and holds a Masters degree in Finance from the London Business School. He has passed Level III of the CFA® Programme.
Andrzej is a fund manager in the Multi-Asset Funds team. His responsibilities cover the portfolio management and ongoing development of both institutional and retail multi-asset funds and he leads on the management of the award-winning L&G Multi-Index fund range. Prior to joining LGIM in July 2014, he was a fund manager at Aviva Investors. He is a CFA charterholder and completed the MSc programme in Finance at Bocconi University in Milan. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and social science from Utrecht University. An ESG advocate, Andrzej holds GARP’s Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) Certificate and lectures at Queen Mary University of London on Portfolio Construction and Asset Allocation.
Angus Sandison is an Investment Analyst at FSSA Investment Managers, part of First Sentier Investors. He joined FSSA in 2019 and is responsible for providing research support to the portfolio managers, covering Asia pacific equities. Angus holds a Master of Arts degree in Politics from the University of Edinburgh.
Ben Lord joined M&G in 2007 and was appointed manager of the M&G Global Corporate Bond strategy when it was launched in September 2013. Ben also manages the M&G UK Inflation Linked Corporate Bond strategy and co-manages the Corporate Bond and Strategic Corporate Bond strategies. Before joining M&G, he worked at Gordian Knot as a credit analyst covering global financial institutions. Ben obtained an MA (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and is a CFA charterholder.
Callum Abbot, Executive Director, is a Portfolio Manager within the J.P. Morgan Asset Management International Equity Group, based in London. He is a member of the Core investment team. An employee since 2012, Callum joined the firm as a graduate trainee. Callum obtained a BA (Hons) in Geography and Management at the University of Cambridge and is a CFA charterholder.
Chris has been in the Gold and Silver team since its inception in 2016. Prior to Jupiter, he worked as a portfolio manager at Merian Global Investors (formerly Old Mutual Global Investors). Chris began his career in 2011 after graduating from the University of Leeds with a degree in management. He holds the Investment Management Certificate, as well as the Financial Markets & Portfolio Construction Theory units of the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification.
Chris Tennant joined Fidelity in January 2011 as an equity analyst, covering European transportation. In 2012, he rotated onto the London-based Emerging Markets team to cover EMEA and Latin America metals & mining stocks. In January 2015, Chris was handpicked by EM Equity Team Leader Nick Price to undertake a newly created EM shorting analyst role. Since then, he has worked closely with Nick in identifying opportunities for the short book of the FAST Emerging Markets strategy, before being was appointed as Assistant Portfolio Manager in July 2019. Chris holds a master’s degree in Engineering from Imperial College London.
David is Lead Portfolio Manager of the American Growth funds at AXA IM, having initially joined AXA IM in June 2016 as Deputy Portfolio Manager of these funds. David is also involved in managing other global strategies and was co-head of the Global Equity team at AXA IM between 2020 to 2024. Prior to joining AXA IM, David was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Aerion Fund Management, where he spent 13 years co-managing a $1.5 bn North American equity portfolio. Preceding that he spent 10 years as a UK fund manager and analyst at Aerion Fund Management, NPI Asset Management and NatWest Investment Management. David holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from City University, London. He is a member of the CFA Society UK (ASIP) and has completed the London Business School Investment Management Programme.
Douglas Scott, investment manager, is a member of the global equities team with responsibility for managing several equity portfolios. In addition, Douglas has analysis duties for the non-life insurance, tobacco, real estate, utilities, beverages and oil services sectors. Prior to his current role, Douglas worked for Investec where he was a stockbroker specialising in the telecoms sector and, prior to that, worked for TRW and Abbey National in their UK equity teams. He has been in the industry since 1996 and started with the firm in 2003. Douglas has a 1st Class Honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a Diploma in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University.
Eric Papesh is a portfolio specialist in the U.S. Equity Division. Eric is based in London and represents several U.S. equity strategies offered in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa and Asia-Pacific regions. Eric is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., and T. Rowe Price International Ltd. Eric's investment experience began in 1994, and he has been with T. Rowe Price since 2014, beginning in the ISG division as a portfolio specialist. Prior to this, Eric was employed by Russell Investments as an analyst focusing on U.S. equities within the firm's Investment Management and Research division. Eric earned a B.A. in business administration, with concentrations in finance and information systems, and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington. Eric has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. CFA® and Chartered Financial Analyst® are registered trademarks owned by CFA Institute.
Harriet is a portfolio manager within the Multi-Asset Funds team. As part of the team, she is responsible for managing performance and generating alpha across a range of multi-asset funds. Harriet also actively contributes to debate that drives our longer-term investment thesis and supports the formation of Aviva’s House View. Prior to joining the portfolio management team Harriet worked as a senior strategist providing cross asset macro analysis to identify market-driving themes and trade idea generation to add alpha to the firm’s multi-asset funds. Prior to Aviva Harriet worked at COMAC Capital a Global Macro Hedge Fund, as an investment strategist. Previously Harriet also worked as a research analyst in the Macro Strategy team at Nomura. Harriet graduated with a BSc in economics from the University of Bath.
James is a fund manager for the Global Small Cap Equities (EMEA), managing multiple European small cap portfolios. James is highly experienced in European and global equity markets, having started his career as a UK salesperson at Dresdner Kleinwort in 2000 before moving to Morgan Stanley in 2006 as a pan European salesperson. In 2009 he joined Unicredit’s European equities division, before moving to Berenberg in 2012 where he focussed on growing the firm’s Global and US equities presence. James joined Invesco in January 2018 as a senior analyst within the European Equities team, before taking on fund management responsiblities at the end of 2020. James is a CFA charterholder and has a BA in French and Italian from the University of Bristol.
Jo Rands is a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst in the Martin Currie UK Equity team, focusing on large cap UK equities. Previously, Jo was a UK Equity Portfolio Manager at Rathbone Unit Trust Management, part of Rathbone Brothers plc. Prior to this, she held roles in UK equity sales and portfolio management at several firms including Hermes and HSBC. Jo began her career in 1999, working in a graduate role at Brewin Dolphin in Leeds. Jo has a first-class BSc (Hons) degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham. She holds the Securities Institute Diploma.
Keith Balmer is a Director and Portfolio Manager within the Multi-Asset Investment team. He joined the company in 2016. Previously he was a Director at BlackRock within their multi-asset division and Man Group working with AHL the systematic managed futures manager. Keith graduated from Exeter University with a BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics with European Studies.
Matthew Bullock is EMEA Head of Portfolio Construction and Strategy at Janus Henderson Investors. In this role, he works to extend institutional and intermediary client engagement models to clients across EMEA and leads the London-based portfolio strategist team. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Matthew was an investment director, multi-strategy solutions & thematics at Wellington Management from 2015. Before that, he was director, multi-asset investment strategist at BlackRock from 2011. He held product development roles, first as a product manager/structurer at Ord Minnett Group from 2006 to 2009 and later as product development manager at BT Investment Management (now Pendal Group). Matthew served as head of structured products/fund manager research at Aegis Equities Research from 2005 to 2006. He began his career at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority as a senior analyst in 2003.
Nick Millington is Head of Systematic Index Solutions within the Quantitative Index Solutions team at abrdn Investments. He joined the company in 2001 and is a founder member of the QIS team. His initial role was as a Quantitative Analyst before progressing to become Head of Portfolio Risk and then Co-Head of Quantitative Equities. Prior to this, he began his career at JP Morgan Investment Management in 1998 working in a number of roles including equity derivatives, FX and cash. Nick graduated with a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Strathclyde.
Paul is a portfolio manager and strategist at Newton. He is a portfolio manager on the Newton Global Income strategy and is also lead manager of the Newton Multi-Asset Income strategy and the Newton Multi-Asset Diversified Return strategy. He also provides leadership and analysis on asset allocation, derivatives and convertible bonds for the wider firm, having spent the earlier part of his career working on strategic asset allocation and derivative strategy. Paul is responsible for generating ideas within alternative assets and has been leading in this area since 2008. He is a member of the asset class strategy group and provides feedback to the wider house on strategic and tactical asset allocation. Paul joined Newton in 2004. He is a CFA1 charterholder and has completed the certificate in quantitative finance (CQF) after passing with distinction. Paul studied Astrophysics at the University of St Andrews and is a keen cyclist and runner, having recently cycled the length of the UK from Land’s End to John O’Groats and often participates in marathons.
With a BSc and a MSc in Finance from Queen’s University, Belfast, in 1994 Stephen started his career at Aegon Asset Management (now Kames Capital) as a US equity analyst and fund manager. In 1998 he moved to fixed income, becoming manager of Kames’ Sterling Corporate Bond Fund in June 2000. Stephen then joined Old Mutual Asset Managers and managed their Corporate Bond Fund from 2004 – 2011, when he returned to Kames. There, as co-head of fixed income, he was co-manager of the Kames Investment Grade Bond Fund, the Investment Grade Global Bond Fund and the Absolute Return Bond Fund until November 2018. In May 2019 Stephen joined Artemis as a partner, to lead our fixed income team.
Steven is a joint manager on our flagship Managed Fund. He has been involved in running the Fixed Income portion of the Fund since 2012. Steven joined Baillie Gifford in 2004 and is Head of the Income Research Team. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford, Steven was a Fixed Income Investment Manager with Scottish Widows. His experience includes seven years undertaking analysis and research for the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, and involvement in managing the UK’s foreign exchange reserves. Steven graduated BAcc (Hons) in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Glasgow in 1992 and MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick in 1993.
Tiara is a Client Portfolio Manager for the Fundamental Equity Team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, with a primary responsibility in communicating the investment philosophy, process and performance of the US Small and Small/Mid Cap Strategies to institutional, third party and high net worth clients. She joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2021 and previously worked as an investment banking controller at the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Tiara graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Finance in 2018.
Trevor is a macro investor with 33 years of experience, well known for the Investment Clock linking asset allocation to the global business cycle. Prior to joining Royal London in 2015, Trevor was Asset Allocation Director for Fidelity Worldwide Investment,where he made tactical investment decisions across a wide range of institutional and retail funds. From 1995 to 2005, Trevor was Director of Asset Allocation for Merrill Lynch, advising fund manager clients around the world on their multi asset investment strategy. Trevor qualified as an actuary with UK life assurer Provident Mutual and has a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Cambridge University.
