A founding director of RSMR, Ken began his career in the investment industry in 1989, shortly after graduating from Leeds University with a Degree in Economics and Economic History. He joined Bradford & Bingley in 1990, where he held a number of product and marketing roles and latterly had responsibility for all financial services product development and pricing. In addition he was Investment Fund Manager for Bradford & Bingley’s PEP and ISA Discretionary Management business, where he controlled client funds in excess of £700m. Ken is ACII and IMC qualified. Ken sits on the Investment Committee of a number of advisory firms to help them deliver their investment strategies. As a well-known figure on the UK investment circuit, Ken spends much of his time in face to face meetings with fund managers, which is vital in understanding how funds are managed
Qian is an investment specialist within the Emerging Markets Client Team. She joined Baillie Gifford in 2021. Previously, Qian worked as a senior client portfolio manager covering emerging markets strategies at Pictet Asset Management and JPMorgan Asset Management. She began her career at Merrill Lynch in 2008. Qian graduated MSc in Mathematical Risk Management from Georgia State University and BSc in Economics and Statistics from Peking University. Qian is a native mandarin speaker and a CFA Charterholder.
Raheel joined Artemis in 2014 and has managed the Artemis SmartGARP Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund since launch in April 2015. He has also managed the Artemis SmartGARP Global Equity Fund since April 2022. A Cambridge graduate in electrical engineering, he joined Fidelity International in 2002 as a quantitative analyst. In 2007 he was promoted to portfolio manager for a range of funds which grew to $2.5 billion. He moved to Fulcrum Asset Management in 2011.
Robert Secker is a portfolio specialist representing the firm's Asian and Chinese equity strategies to institutional clients, consultants, and prospects in the Equity Division. He is a vice president of T. Rowe Price International Ltd. Robert's investment experience began in 1997. He was with T. Rowe Price from 2000 to 2010, beginning as a portfolio specialist in the Equity Division, and returned in 2021. Prior to returning to the firm, Robert was head of the equity investment specialist team at M&G and the investment director for its emerging market equity strategies. Robert earned a B.A., with honors, in financial services from the University of Portsmouth. He also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
