A founding director of RSMR, Ken began his career in the investment industry in 1989, shortly after graduating from Leeds University with a Degree in Economics and Economic History. He joined Bradford & Bingley in 1990, where he held a number of product and marketing roles and latterly had responsibility for all financial services product development and pricing. In addition he was Investment Fund Manager for Bradford & Bingley’s PEP and ISA Discretionary Management business, where he controlled client funds in excess of £700m. Ken is ACII and IMC qualified. Ken sits on the Investment Committee of a number of advisory firms to help them deliver their investment strategies. As a well-known figure on the UK investment circuit, Ken spends much of his time in face to face meetings with fund managers, which is vital in understanding how funds are managed
Bill is an investment specialist who is dedicated to our Discovery Strategy. He is a member of the Discovery PCG and chairs the Discovery Product Group. Before joining Baillie Gifford in 2018, Bill studied for a full-time MBA, specialising in Finance, at the University of Edinburgh Business School. Previously, he spent five years at MasterCard as a corporate account manager for financial institutions. Bill graduated with an MA in History from the University of Edinburgh in 2012.
John Lamb is an Investment Specialist at Capital Group. He has eight years of industry experience and has been with Capital Group for five years. Prior to joining Capital, John worked as a Strategic Product Management Associate at BlackRock. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Lindsay is an Investment Manager at Walter Scott. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, she trained in accountancy at AstraZeneca before focusing on European healthcare within SG Cowen’s corporate finance team. Lindsay holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Nottingham and an International MBA awarded jointly by the University of Edinburgh and ESADE Business School in Spain.
Matthew joined Guinness Global Investors in September 2005 is co-manager of the Guinness Global Equity Income Fund and the Guinness Global Innovators Fund. Previously, he joined Goldman Sachs on the Graduate scheme working in Foreign Exchange and then Fixed Income. Matthew graduated from New College, University of Oxford in 2004 with a Master’s degree in Physics. Matthew is a CFA charterholder.
